Carrie is also the founder of her own boutique development firm, launched in 2016 to help nonprofits grow their resources, expand their impact, and build capacity. Her professional journey includes leadership roles with globally recognized initiatives. She previously served as CEO and President of imagine1day, founded by Chip and Summer Wilson (founders of lululemon), which delivers high-quality education and leadership development in Ethiopia. She also led micro-enterprise programs for women across Africa and the Middle East as Executive Director of the Sager Family Foundation. Carrie’s unique ability to fuse traditional development strategies with innovative, media-forward storytelling has made her a sought-after voice in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors. Based on the West Coast and originally from the Northeast, she maintains a global network and currently serves on the Advisory Board of Return to Freedom, a sanctuary and advocacy organization for wild horses and burros.
Prior to this role, Carrie served as CEO and President of Imagine1day, founded by Chip and Summer Wilson, founders of lululemon. Imagine1day provides quality schools, education, and leadership development to people in Ethiopia. While there, Carrie worked with villages in rural Ethiopia, ensuring they had access to quality education. In addition, Carrie also served as the Executive Director for the Sager Family Foundation’s micro-enterprise programs for women in under-resourced countries in Africa and the Middle East. Carrie serves on the Advisory Board of Return to Freedom wild horse and burro.
