The Relational Life Foundation is excited to announce the RLT Outcomes Study, a minimal-risk research study designed to better understand how couples’ relationships and individual well-being change over time while receiving Relational Life Therapy. This study aims to help build the evidence base for RLT by tracking couples’ experiences and outcomes across the early months of therapy.
What participation involves
Four online surveys over 6 months (baseline, 2 months, 4 months, and 6 months)
About 20 minutes per survey
$25 e-gift card, per person, per completed survey
Surveys ask about couple satisfaction, communication and conflict patterns, and selected individual well-being measures
Who may be eligible
Couples who are new to RLT (first session scheduled or up to two sessions completed)
Both partners participate
Each partner provides independent informed consent
Couples are enrolled only when both partners consent and complete the baseline survey
How referral works Couples cannot enroll directly. If you are interested in learning more, please inform your RLT therapist. With your and your partner’s permission, your therapist may submit a referral to the research team. The research team will then contact each partner by email and/or text message with a link to complete eligibility screening and, if eligible, the baseline survey.
Important information
Participation is voluntary, and participating or choosing not to participate will not affect your therapy
Survey responses are confidential and will not be shared with your partner or therapist
Therapists are not members of the research team, do not obtain informed consent, and do not have access to survey responses
The research team does not provide therapy and does not collect therapy notes or clinical records
