Samantha M. Serrano, MPH, MPA RESEARCH COORDINATOR
Samantha Serrano is a public health researcher with over six years of experience coordinating community-engaged social and behavioral research. Her work spans HIV medication adherence, vaccine uptake, and related public health topics, with an emphasis on translating research into practice-relevant insights and interventions. Her research centers communities that experience structural and social marginalization, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, migrants, and youth. She brings a trauma-informed, equity-driven lens to research design and implementation, prioritizing community engagement and ethical, participant-centered approaches.
Samantha holds an MPH and an MPA from New York University, with academic training focused on global health and international development, as well as a BA in Community Health Education from California State University, Long Beach. She is particularly interested in the development, implementation, and testing of novel interventions to strengthen health outcomes through rigorous research both domestically and abroad.
