Therapist Training Outcome Study

The results of this study show that RLT training has both a professional and a personal impact on practitioners. Results are in line with those of studies of EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) training, and suggestive of a more effective program of study. We are currently in the write-up phase of this study and expect to have submitted for publication by the end of 2025.
The purpose of this research project was to assess and compare the effectiveness of the asynchronous and synchronous portions of therapist training in Relational Life Therapy (RLT). Our working hypothesis was that the live practice and integration training will add significantly to the development of therapists’ ability to provide effective couples therapy.
